2025 Franky Panky Tournament

It’s that time of year again – Franky Panky! Tampa Roller Derby hosted its 12th annual tournament, named after our beloved flamingo mascot Frank, at the Tampa Fairgrounds on March 8-9.
This year was the first ever MRDA (Men’s Roller Derby Association) tournament for our Death Rollers. We welcomed teams from across three states including the Atlanta Terminus, Dallas Y'allhalla, Magic City Misfits, and the Penn Jersey Hooligans.
Franky Panky 2025 also highlighted the next generation of derby stars with support for our Tampa Junior Roller Derby league. The Tampa Junior All-Stars invited the Fort Walton Beach Junior Bombers and Texas Junior Black and Bluebonnets. In another historic first, our Tampa Junior Flockstars made their tournament debut, welcoming Jacksonville’s First Coast Junior Roller Derby and Magic City Mischief from Ormond Beach. These young athletes brought incredible passion and talent to the track!
Throughout the weekend, fans and first-timers alike were treated to high-intensity roller derby action and the unmatched camaraderie of the derby community. There’s truly nothing else like it!
To add to the excitement, attendees had the chance to win some incredible raffle prizes, including fluffy pink skate pads, tickets to the 2025 MRDA Championships, a fantastic gift basket from Hungover Rooster, and epic booze baskets. Congratulations to all our lucky winners!
With two full days of non-stop bouts, the tournament ran seamlessly thanks to the expert management of Red Stiletto, TRD President, and our phenomenal team of dedicated volunteers. We couldn’t be prouder or more grateful for yet another successful year of Franky Panky!
